Fee and Other Miscellaneous Charges Regulations, 2019
These regulations shall be called the Fee and Other Miscellaneous Charges Regulations, 2019. They were implemented on Batch-2020 and onwards and apply to all students admitted to the BE / B.Arch programs of Dawood University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi.
Definitions
- “University” means the Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.
- “Act” means the Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi Act, 2013.
- “Student” means a student (local or foreign) admitted to the University in accordance with the prescribed procedure against a clear seat.
- “Fees” means the amount required to be deposited by a local or foreign student as admission fees and semester fees.
- “Refundable fees” means the amount returned to a student on account of University caution money deposit, excess payment, payment made in error or double payment to the University.
- “Non-refundable fees” means the registration fees.

Conditions for the self-finance scheme
- The self-finance amount is refunded if a candidate is not admitted / does not secure admission under the self-finance scheme.
- Students admitted under the self-finance scheme are also required to pay University fees and other miscellaneous charges.
- As per HEC policy, the University does not refund fees, including the self-finance scheme fee, after the commencement of classes under any circumstances.
Modification of regulations
These regulations are subject to modification by the competent authorities of the University as may be felt appropriate from time to time. For the fee applicable to a specific batch or program, students should confirm the current challan generated on the DUET student portal or contact the Directorate of Finance.
